Press Release Re: Payment and Contract

Ulster County Comptroller Opens the Books Wider Than Ever with Expanded Payment and Contract Dashboard

Kingston, NY (March 10, 2026) — Ulster County residents now have unprecedented access to how their tax dollars are spent.

Today, the Ulster County Comptroller’s Office released updated data for the Ulster County Payment and Contract Dashboard, a public tool that tracks county contracts, vendors, and payments. For the first time ever, the Dashboard includes payments made through New York State’s Welfare Management System (WMS) bringing a major category of County spending into public view.

The expanded Dashboard now covers nearly all active contracts and payments from January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2025, giving residents a clearer picture of who the County does business with and how public funds flow into the community. In 2025 alone, Ulster County paid $359,055,050 million to 1,943 vendors, including $29.47 million paid through WMS. With this addition of WMS data, the public can now see more information about County payments to vendors. For example, Family of Woodstock received $6,857,891 in payments during 2025, $3,101,011 million of which was paid through WMS and these payments were not previously visible to the public.
