The highest function of the Office of Comptroller is to be your governmental watchdog. Our role is to be ever vigilant in examining how your tax dollars are being spent, invested, protected, and collected. One of the primary ways in which we discharge this duty is to take note of emerging issues in County fiscal policy, the economy as a whole, or the operation of particular units of County government so we may conduct independent research into those issues that result in reports on the County’s fiscal health.
