Quality of Life Impact From Our Not-for-Profits Learn First Hand How The Region Benefits

Rosendale, NY (May 10, 2016) – Ulster County Comptroller Elliott Auerbach will be moderating a panel discussion on not-for-profits in Ulster County and their impact in the Rondout Valley.

The forum will be hosted by the Rondout Valley Business Association (RVBA) as part of their May breakfast meeting. Panelists include Steve Kelley from Ellenville Regional Hospital, Brooke Pickering-Cole from Local Economies Project, Joe Alfano from Mohonk Preserve and Ann Kalmbach from the Women’s Studio Workshop.

Comptroller Auerbach recently released the first of several reports that spoke about the 185 regional not-for-profits and their benefit to County government. In it, Auerbach stated that “Ulster County contracts with a substantial number of not-for-profits…ranging from health care and social service providers to civic, religious and cultural entities that actively work toward enhancing the quality of life for every County resident on a daily basis.”

The discussion will take place on Thursday, May 12th from 7:30am to 9am at the Rondout Municipal Center, 1921 Lucas Avenue, Rosendale. RVBA members and the public are encouraged to attend.
