This financial report highlights aspects of Ulster County’s fiscal status through the first quarter of 2021 (ending March 31st). Generally, the County’s fiscal health was strong during the first quarter of 2021, as expenditures remained consistent, revenue exceeded budgeted amounts, and economic indicators remained strong. Based on first quarter results, and preliminary second quarter figures, the County appears to be in a positive financial position should current trends remain consistent across these financial and economic indicators. Funding through the American Rescue Plan will provide a cash infusion to further bolster the County’s positive financial position.
